THE EVENT IN A NUTSHELL
Disability, Social Inclusion, and Innovation is a one-day online event that aims to create an environment where you, as a professional, member of an association, a person with a disability, students, or a person with interests, can discuss freely issues related to social inclusion. We aim to create innovative solutions through roundtable discussions (in the morning) deriving in projects (in the afternoon). These projects have the opportunity to be developed by the group of discussion/project in the following 6 to 8 weeks after the event. Each group, from the morning to the afternoon, is composed of a Hackahealth member, a moderator from the association who brought the theme and/or project, and participants from a larger audience.
Bare in mind that you are free to follow a discussion in the morning and join a different workshop project in the afternoon, or to participate only in the morning, or only in the afternoon. It is in Hackahealth main values to spend a good time together!
Roundtable discussions
8.30AM to 12AM
Roundtable discussions happen around themes proposed by our partners and take place in the morning (8.30AM to 12AM). The objective of the discussions is to reflect on the proposed theme and get to know the point of view of different actors involved in the issue. Eventually, your group will come out with a project and will continue to structure it in the afternoon.
These are some of the themes already proposed:
Participation in the playtime (Innov4Child and BEaCHILD)
School break and inclusion of children with disabilitiesPediatric rehabilitation at home (Innov4Child and BEaCHILD)
Accompaniment for rehabilitation at home for childrenKnowledge transfer between professionals and people with disabilities and their families (Innov4Child and BEaCHILD)

If you feel like discussing something that is not in this list, please, contact us or suggest it when you register. Please, be also aware that if you bring a thematic, you will also have to moderate the discussion together with a Hackahealth member.
WORKSHOPS
1PM to 6PM
Our workshops take place in the second part of the day and are the occasion to transform the idea of the roundtable discussion in the morning into a real life project. The project itself will be developed in the following 6 to 8 weeks after the event with the facilitation of a Hackahealth member and the association who proposed it. Concretely, during our event you will discuss the broad outlines, organisation, feasibility and next steps of the project. Until now, some of the established projects are:
Sign translator to allow people with disabilities to participate in webinars (Handicap International)
Access to water when doing water-sports for people with disabilities (Sport&Nature)
Bare in mind that you are free to follow a discussion in the morning and join a different workshop project in the afternoon, or to participate only in the morning, or only in the afternoon. It is in Hackahealth main values to spend a good time together!
If you want to propose a project, please feel free to contact us or suggest it when you register.

Frequently Asked Questions
+ Where does the event happen?
The event is completely online and takes place on Zoom. Please be sure to have uploaded the last version if you want to participate to our event.
+ How much does it cost?
This event is free! For the workshop projects progress during the 6 to 8 weeks after the event, you can have the possibility, if sanitary restrictions allow it, to have access to the FabLab from the SDG Solution Space. One member of the HackaHealth association will be part of each workshop team to arrange all the requirements (booking of the spaces, machine usage).
+ Do I need special skills to come?
No! Our event is open to everyone who wants to contribute to one or two event’s initiatives (roundtable discussions and workshops), diversity and inclusions in our event are our two key-words!
+ Can I participate only in the roundtable discussions or the workshops?
Yes, of course. You are free to join only one roundtable discussion and/or only the workshop if only one initiative interests you. Just be aware that discussions will ideally lead to 1 or 2 project ideas for workshop session.
+ Am I obligated to enroll in the role of moderator during the event?
Of course not, we welcome everybody who wants to participate in our event without the obligation to moderate the morning discussions or workshop afternoon session. Feel free to join our event as a participant, the other participants will be glad to benefit from your insight.
+ Is the engagement the same for the two initiatives: Roundtables discussions and workshops?
Not really. Roundtable discussions will happen during the morning and end up at lunchtime after a short wrap-up. Ideally, they will emanate from 1 or 2 ideas for a workshop project. On the other hand, workshops will take place during the afternoon. You will have time to start brainstorming on your project and organise how to implement it. Note that if interested, you are invited to stay involved 6 to 8 weeks to develop the project. However, you are free to join our workshop just out of curiosity. During the afternoon, you will be asked if you want to remain involved or not.
+ How the group for the two initiatives will be composed and when?
By filling the registration form, you will indicate which discussion theme interests you the most and which project you want to be part of (if you want to participate in the two initiatives). After collecting your interests, the HackaHealth team, with the support of Innov4Child team, will compose multidisciplinary teams.
+ What tools will be available during the event?
The Event takes place online on zoom. During the roundtable discussions, each thematic discussion group will have a moderator who is free to use any interactive tools (e.g., Slido, MindMup, Miro, Google slides and doc etc...). Same thing during the workshop.
