About Julia

Julia is 53 years old and has been working since she was 16, as a cook, a grill cook, a worker in the graphic arts industry and, most recently, a sales assistant in a fashion store. What she loves most is hiking with her family and enjoying nature. After an accident in her childhood, her right leg grew differently from her left. Today she lives with severe knee osteoarthritis and wears a 3 cm shoe lift to balance her walk, and uses a cane to help her get around. Julia is hardworking and full of energy, and she wants to keep enjoying every step outdoors.

Challenge

Every time Julia buys new shoes, it is a big expense for her, because each pair also needs its own custom lift. Julia would love a lift that can be adapted to any shoe, so she can choose her footwear freely without the extra cost each time.
