Help Manual grasp everyday objects
About Manuel
Manuel is 45 years old, originally from Colombia, and now lives in Madrid. Since 2025, he has been adapting to life after the amputation of parts of both upper limbs: his right arm below the elbow and his left hand, where his thumb was later reconstructed. He used to be right-handed, but through patience, effort, and perseverance, he has learned to adapt. Today, his left arm is the one with greater mobility.
Challenge
Everyday activities like eating or shaving can still be difficult for Manuel. He currently wears a Trésdesis, a 3D-printed prosthesis created by Ayúdame3D, on his right arm. However, his left arm is the one dominant now, and he doesn't currently have any adapted device or support for that hand to help him carry out everyday tasks more easily.
Manuel would desire a simple, practical solution that helps him hold and use everyday items such as spoons or razors comfortably and safely. Something that makes daily activities a little easier and gives him more freedom to do things for himself.
