About the Eben-Hézer Foundation

The Eben-Hezer Foundation regularly welcomes volunteers and caregivers who are not healthcare professionals.

Challenge

When a patient experiences a hypo- or hyperglycemic episode, these volunteers often lack the necessary guidance to know how to react.

The goal of this application is to provide them with a simple, visual tool—based on icons, pictograms, and colors—to help them:

• Interpret a blood sugar reading

• Make the right decision: give sugar, alert a nurse, or recheck after a few minutes

An enhanced version of the app could also offer a fun and interactive approach to train and prepare caregivers to respond effectively in these situations.
