About Leon

Leon lives with strong impairment following an accident. He enjoys relaxing on his belly sofa, a special piece of furniture that allows him to lie comfortably on his stomach. Leon communicates through eye movements and blinking.

Challenge

Leon’s current belly sofa is used frequently and is getting old. The goal is to build an improved version that is stable and comfortable, while making everyday use easier for Leon and his caregivers. Ideally, the new belly sofa could be height- and lenght adjustable (grows with Leon), easy to move around, and support Leon’s communication while lying on his stomach. For example by enabling better eye contact or positioning his eye-controlled communication device in front of him.
