About Dirk

Dirk is 57 years old and from Germany. He has been living in Switzerland for the past 10 years. He used to be a successful SAP consultant, including working for SBB. After surviving a stroke three years ago, Dirk has been living with right-side paralysis and aphasia. He is highly motivated and participates in therapies every day to fight his way back to an independent life.

Challenge

The biggest burden in Dirk's daily life is the loss of motor control in his right hand. Specifically, he has a decreased grip strength and can't strech his fingers to open his fingers as desired. Dirk wants a device that helps him use his right hand in specific tasks.
